Tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards the unpredictable West grabbed the mike away from Taylor Swift, who was giving her acceptance speech for Best Female Video, and told the audience that "I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."

Sure, he prefaced his message by telling Swift that he was happy for her and that he would let her finish, but that doesn't make it ok. It was rude. It was in poor tasted. And it was disrespectful.

Shame on West. Shame on MTV for doing nothing to stop it. And props to Taylor Swift for handling it like class act.
